What is a dot pitch on a monochrome LCD?

There are three types of monochrome displays: Character, Segment and graphic. Character and graphic generate letter/numbers and images by using dots. The distance (center to center) between dots is called the 'pitch'. The smaller the pitch, the closer the dots are to each other providing a sharper contrast.
