No, trasnflective is the same cost and lead time as transmissive and reflective.

Yes, it is possible to make a TFT brighter. This is done to make many of them sunlight readable.

There is a small, one time tooling cost to design this.

Yes, there are four, five and seven wire resistive touch screens. Four wire is the most common and lowest cost.

Yes, there are COG displays.

It is best to use a strong, two sided tape to hold them in place.

No, Segment LCDs use AC (Alternating current).

DC will destroy the LCD and is best to keep as close to zero as possible.

The frame frequency is how fast the segment/icons/pixels are refreshed per second.

If the rate is too low, it will flicker.
If the rate is too high, you will have ghosting.

Any drawing will work. A sketch with a pen or pencil. Or word/pdf is fine.
