There are several types of backlights, which ones do not generate RF noise or feedback?

The two types of backlights that generate EMI or noise or interferance are:
EL (Electroluminescence) and CCFL.

Both of these have been phased out on monochrome displays such as: Segment, Character and Graphics. The main reason they have gone away is that they are AC driven which creates noise and have very short half-lifes compared to LED backlights.
