What is Ghosting

What is ghosting and where do you see it at?
Ghosting mainly happens with monochrome displays and most of those are segment displays. It is when a segment is not fully on or fully off. It can be confusing to the end user since they don't know if the icon/letter/number should be on or off.
It is caused by under powering the segment or from cross-talk inside the traces of the display.
