Is custom cut glass more expensive for TFT or LCDs?
First, LCDs means Liquid Crystal Display which is common on monochrome technologies such as character, Graphic and segment displays. Monochrome has one color background and one color icon.
Yes, NRE (Tooling) on a custom sized LCD is much less expensive than on a TFT (Thin Film Transistor). They also have a lower MOQ and shorter lead time.
