That’s a pretty open ended question. It depends on what you will use it for. Is this battery powered? Used in the sun? Need to be adjustable?

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) <https://techterms.com/definition/lcd> is built with the fluid trapped between two layers of glass. When an electrical field is applied, the fluid changes shape and blocks some of the light passing through. This produces letters, number, icons etc. The LCD takes very little power (less then 1mA). It is possible to read the display at night if you add a LED backlight.

LED (Light Emitting Diode) < https://www.rohm.com/electronics-basics ... are-ledsis> basically a light that turns on. It can be read at a distance and stands out, but will draw more power than a LCD.
