Is it better for a LCD to have a touch panel or momentary push buttons?
It depends on the application. Touch panels save room, but there are many environments where they will not perform well.
Push buttons such as tactile switches are simple to integrate to a LCD and they are dependable. Also, they work in cold and hot and rain etc. I find that many harsh environments such as construction, military and some aviation prefer push buttons.
