Can I removed the transflective polarizer film and apply a transmissive polarizer film?
es, but it is really not recommended. By the time you scrape off the film, the glass would be damaged and I doubt the new film would adhere very well to it. It would be a lot easier to just order the LCD with the correct polarizer.
On a monochrome display, there is no cost difference between transmissive, transflective or reflective.
