What is the best non-color LCD module for direct sunlight.
Another word for non-color would be monochrome. That is one color background and one color segment/letter. Monochrome is available as a graphic (dot-matrix), character or segment display<https://focuslcds.com/segment-lcd/>. They are readable in direct sunlight with a reflective or a transflective polarizer.
Reflective provides a sharper contrast in direct sunlight, but you will need to use a sidelight for it to be readable at night.
Transflective is readable in daylight and with a backlight.
