What is the cost to modify the PCB on a LCD module
I need to enlarge the mounting holes on the PCB for my character LCD and don't want to drill out the holes.

Most Character and many graphic displays are COB (Chip on Board) which means the glass is attached to a Printed Circuit Board. Some TFTs are also COB.
Sometimes the board needs to be modified (larger mounting holes, moving the pinout around, etc.) This can be done for a one-time NRE (tooling) cost ranging from $400 to $800. Once the tooling is paid for, the customer can purchase the same unit over and over without paying for the tooling again.
