What is the difference between V Logic and V LED

What is the difference between V logic and V LED and can I combine them if they are the same voltage?

V logic is also called V LCD voltage and that is the voltage used to supply just the LCD
V LED is the power used to power the LED backlight. This is true for both character and graphic monochrome LCDs.
