Which pins connect to the baklight
Which pins on a character LCD connect to a backlight?

On a segment displays, the LED backlight is powered through a separate cable that has some type of Molex connector on the end. One wire is red, and one is blue.
On a character LCD, the LED backlight can be powered through pins 15 and 16, or through the A and K on the side of the display and pins 1 and 2, although this last method is not recommended.
