can you supply a 3.3V large character LCD
Is it possible to build a large character LCD to operate at 3.3V

Most character LCDs can be built to operate at 3.3V. It is difficult to drive very large glass sized LCDs at 3.3V. At some point, the glass is too large and requires 5V.
