A: That’s a pretty opened ended question. Active matrix (AMTFT) produces a sharper image/contrast but at a higher cost. Passive matrix (PMTFT) has a slower refresh rate but at a lower cost.
If low cost is critical for your product, go with passive. If your customer can accept a higher ASP (Average selling price) and needs a sharper looking display, then go with active.
