Are OLEDs a good replacement for VFDs?

Since OLEDs are a newer technology, is it a better replacement for VFDs?
Right now, we don't feel that OLEDs are a good replacement for VFDs (vacuum fluorescent display).
The reason is that OLEDs are prone to be discontinued more often than older technologies.
We suggest UWVD (Ultra-Wide Viewing Display) Technology for replacement of a VFD.
