Is it still possible to order a LCD with a CCFL backlight?
It is very difficult to order any display with a CCFL backlight. CCFL ( cold-cathode fluorescent lamps backlights) have been discontinued for a few reasons. The main one is that they are hard on the environment. Also, they have a short life time and use AC power which generates noise.
We do not recomend using CCFL for any new designs. It is better to go with a LED backlight.
