Can I change the brightness of the LED backlight?

Is it possible to change the brightness of the LED backlight by changing the resistor value?
Yes, it is simple to change the brightness of the LED backlight.
LEDs are DC driven, that is direct current. All you need to do is lower the resistance value to make the backlight brighter. But, the brighter the back light, the shorter it's half life.
