Why are the jumpers for on the LCD?
On the back of the LCD PCB, there are jumpers. What are they used for?

Many types of LCDs such as Character and monochrome graphic contain a PCB. On the PCB are jumper settings that are used to adjust the brightness of a LED backlight through a resistor, or to reverse polarity of a LED backlight and in some cases adjust the contrast of the display.
